MDR 2009 MBA

Institute of Management Development and Research is a part of 124 years old Deccan education Society. It is one of the most reputed institute providing Management courses in Pune. The institute was set in 1977 with the aim of propagating education all over the country. The institute offers management courses at a nominal fee structure, keeping in mind the traditions of Deccan education Society. IMDR has a unique selection process in which candidates are selected of their performance in ‘Group Work’ and a ‘Behavioural Event Interview’ (B.E.I).


Available Courses:

* The institute offers both full time and part time courses. The full time programs for MBA are:

1. Management
2. International Trade
3. Human Resource

* Special part time courses are also available for working professionals and training corporate.
* There is also a two year PGDM program which is based on the Instructional Systems Design Methodology (ISDM). The basic aim of the program is to integrate the various courses of management.

Eligibility Criteria:

* The candidate must appear for Common Admission Test (CAT) which is to be conducted by IIMs on 16th Nov, 2008.
* The candidate must have got a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
* The duration of the Bachelor’s course done should be at least 3 years.
* The candidate should have got a minimum of 50% marks as aggregate in Bachelor’s course.
* The rebate is offered for the students belonging to SC/ST category. The minimum percentage required for these candidates is 45%.
* The candidates currently in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply lest they have to submit all the necessary documents before their admission.

* Sale of application forms starts : 1st week of Sep, 2008
* Last date to submit the application form : End of Nov, 2008

Selection Procedure:

* The admission of the student will be done on the basis of the merit obtained in the CAT exam.
* The students short-listed will be then called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
* The final selection will be made on the collective performance of the student in the CAT exam as well as Group work and Behavioural Event Interview.
