IITD 2009 MBA

Indian Institute of Technology Department of Management Studies provides both part time and full time management programs. The duration of the part time program is 3 years. The main aim of the program is to embed students with skills of Marketing, Finance, Strategy, Human Resource, Operation and Information Technology. The program was started with intension to enable the managers to effectively contribute in evolving core competencies in Indian industry.


Eligibility Criteria:

* The candidate must have done bachelor’s course of minimum 4 years in any of the fields like Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy/B.Sc Agriculture Engineering OR
* The candidate must have obtained Master’s degree in any of the fields like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Application, Electronic Science, Environmental Science, Operations Research, Computational/Information Science, Agriculture or Commerce / Economics.
* The candidate must have got a minimum of 50% marks as aggregate in the respective degree course or a minimum OR
* The candidate must have got a score of 6.75 or above in equivalent CGPA.
* The candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years work experience for applying into this course.

Important Dates:

1. Last date for receipt of application forms : End of Feb, 2009
2. Date of commencement of test : 2nd Week of Mar, 2009
3. Group Discussion/ Personal Interview : 3rd Week of Apr, 2009
4. Declaration of successful candidates : Starting of May, 2009
5. Commencement of Classes : Starting of Aug, 2009

Admission Procedure:

* The students will be short-listed on the basis of their performance in the written test.
* The students short-listed will be then called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
* The final selection will be made on the collective performance of the student in the written test as well as in GD and PI.

Examination Pattern and Syllabus:

1. The questions will be asked of the level equivalent to CAT exam conducted by IIMs.
2. The question will be asked from the sections like:

* Verbal
* Quantitative
* Analytical
* Data Interpretation
* Business Awareness Abilities
